Where to go

Florida's first aquatic preserve, all to yourself

Estero Bay has been protected since 1966 — which is why the dolphins, manatees and fish never left.

Bottlenose dolphins surfacing in the turquoise water of Estero Bay

Dolphin watching

Hit the passes on a moving tide and your odds are excellent. They love playing in boat wakes.

Plan the trip

Our family

Three generations, one dock, zero shortcuts

Bonita Boat Rentals has been our family business for over 35 years. We have the best access to Estero Bay, flexible rental hours, and a crew that grew up on this water.

That means honest all-in pricing, boats that are genuinely clean and maintained, kids fitted for life jackets by people who fit their own kids, and real local advice — not a brochure. When we mark a fishing spot on your map, it's because we fish it.

Don't take our word for it

"Awesome staff, dope boats and dolphin friends! The crew marked all the best spots on our map and we found dolphins within twenty minutes."
TripAdvisor traveler
"Great experience renting a pontoon for four hours. Scheduling online was easy, fuel cost was included, and the staff was really kind and helpful."
Yelp reviewer
"Long-time customers of Bonita Boat Rentals — clean, ready-to-go boats, bait and poles at the dock, and friendly service every single time. Twice is nice; we've lost count."

Quick answers

Before you ask

No — pontoons are the easiest boats on the water, and we walk every group through the controls, the channel markers and the map before you leave the dock. Most of our captains are first-timers.
Yes — fuel and sales tax are included in every rate. The price you see when you book is the price you pay.
21 or older to rent. Born on or after January 1, 1988? Florida law requires a quick boater safety course — you can finish it online before you arrive.
Cancel same-day for inclement weather at no charge — or up to 24 hours ahead for any reason at all.
